A Day In Poole

I had to spend a day in Poole whiling away the time until the next day when Neil, my cousin's son, was coming to pick me up and take me back to Midhurst to spend some time with his family.  I walked down to the quay along the Back Water Channel close to the Sea Music Sculpture.  It was here that it became clear why so many wealthy people choose to live in Studland.  They want to have a seaside residence close to their superyachts.

The weather was perfect tourist weather so I continued my exploring by walking the full length of the High Street visiting a few shops and restaurants along the way.  After eight weeks of walking and sometimes struggling along the SW Coast Path wandering aimlessly through an urban shopping street was strangely relaxing.  One more night in the Queen Mary Inn with a pint in my hand and the local regulars for company and then off to bed in the trailer behind the pub.
